Inland Lakes are a common fishing destination, but their conditions vary widely, and they may contain any number of species of Game Fish.
Fishing a deep, clear lake for Bass will be quite different from fishing a shallow, muddy lake for Crappie. For this reason, if you're headed to a lake, we recommend consulting our color chart (click here) to choose your lure color by target species and water clarity.
The following recommendations are based on a typical Ohio lake, which could be described as an average mid depth reservoir with around 2' of visibility.
